When I was first introduced to Frog Applause, I said "OMG! WTF!" (You can tell I’m thrown off-balance when I start speaking in acronyms.) However, over the past several weeks it’s grown on me.

True, maybe part of it is that, like The New Adventures Of Queen Victoria, it’s a non-traditional strip, but the complete and total randomness of its text is refreshing in this gag-a-day world. You will not laugh (at least not often), but it’s excellent brain candy.

Frog Applause is available, like TNAOQV, 44 Union Avenue, Bleeker: The Rechargeable Dog, and other great strips at goComics.com and MyComicsPage.com. Also be sure to check the TNAOQV links page for other amazing comics you might not be reading.

I promise, last lol for now.

From ‘s site, which is naturally at PostModernBarney.com….

If you go to the page, he has also retold the entire plot (more or less) of the Doctor Who episode “The Sound Of Drums” in lols.

WANT!

Oh, and by the way….

I’m back in Wikipedia.

Where the insanity comes from

To get my mind off my crazy Uncle Bob, I’ve decided to focus on the more stable members of my family.

Of course, that’s not saying much.

My mother and father…April 10, 1968. 16 months to the day before I was born.

“Paul + I [Linda] in his kitchen, 4/10/68. Beverly snapped picture. Paul was opening gifts which I got him for Easter. He’s holding his little toy ‘jeep.’ I got him jeep, Young Rascals album + ‘Beautiful Morning’ by same. (He already had it.) Plus newspaper clipping of L. (unreadable)’s 21st (unreadable).”

“Paul in their living room. Picture of Donna on wall. Bev. took picture on 4/10/68. He was saying – ‘Kid! Don’t you dare!!’”

Weird question of the day

Anyone know where I can get my hands on a cheap, functional, mechanical bull for two weeks?

Things that disturb me

If I do a Google on any of my projects or my name (to see who’s linking to or talking about me), and I’m not careful with quotes around search terms, I come up with a lot of articles about my Uncle Bob.

Yes, the Uncle Bob who not only believes that the Sun goes around the Earth, he wrote a book about it!

Maybe I should have kept my first name and changed my last, instead of the other way around.

Thanks to New Adventures Of Queen Victoria reader T.B. for introducing me to Joe Mathlete Explains Today’s Marmaduke.

Okay, I couldn’t resist. Old joke.

The zombie protest.

“WHAT DO WE WANT?”

“BRAAAAIIIIIINS!”

“WHEN DO WE WANT IT?”

“BRAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNS!”
